The police raided a bank and killed three armed robbers Wednesday in the capital of Afghanistan after the robbery escalated into a shootout with security forces.
The attempted bank robbery comes one day before crucial national elections in Afghanistan. This week, the Taliban has declared its intention to suspend the elections with attacks continued and threatened to kill Afghans granted.
Local media identified the thief as members of the Taliban.
Officers had surrounded the bank and the exchange of fire took some time, have been killed by thieves, according to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior.
